Facing some tough life experiences, Finn and Lara weather the storms together. Like any good relationship, sometimes they lean more on one or the other. Now as they face more tough times, they learn how to rely on their own past to create the life they want and the home they deserve.
If you haven't caught up with Finn and Lara, the two met in college but only a happenstance brought them together many years after college. Each came with their own baggage, just like the rest of us, as they learn to migrate their way through life and romance. However, the town of Nashville plays a big role in their lives. Finn's a rising country star and Nashville is THE town to be in. But it's not Lara's hometown. It's not the town of their families and Nashville can-at times- be a cruel mistress as Finn must balance work and life. This is much harder when you are in the spotlight and want to stay there.
Take Me Home is the third in a five book series about Finn and Lara's lives and love.
Sometimes you have to take the long, bumpy road to get home.
Finn and Lara Murphy thought they finally had it all. He had a chart-topping country music career, they were happily married, and their first child was due in a few months. Until… that fateful afternoon when all was lost.
Is it possible to rebuild the foundation of your life when your heart is crumbling?
TAKE ME HOME is an emotional journey down the roads you must take to reconcile with your past, begin to heal, and find out what home is truly all about.
I looked down at Finn’s packed bags right there in the foyer, and I totally lost it. I almost sagged to the floor I was crying so hard.
“God, Lara. Please. Don’t. I can’t leave when you’re like this.”
Turning around in a circle, he partially put his arm out to me and then took it back. “I have to. We talked about this.”
“I can’t stand that I did this. I can’t stand that you’re leaving because of me…because of something I did.”
“Look, when it comes down to it, it’s me. I did it. I should have known he would try this shit.”
“You wouldn’t have done it, though, or even have been there if it wasn’t for me.”
“But I was, and I did. I just don’t want you to be a part of it anymore.”
I realized what a scene I was creating, and I understood that I was only making a horrible situation worse. So, I tried. I mangled my fists up to my eyes and rubbed hard, willing the tears to stop flowing. And then I told him something that I hadn’t even realized was subconsciously in my brain. “But you haven’t kissed me.”
Standing in front of me, he started shaking his head slowly back and forth. He was totally spent and deflated. “We’re not back to that again.”
I dipped my head in embarrassment. I supposed we were.

About the Author:
There really wasn’t any other path. Grea Warner knew from a young age that she wanted to write. She was born to write. First it was in diaries with little metal keys and in written tales that she slipped to friends in study hall. School newspapers, a college television drama, and internships in the soap opera world were next. After producing and writing a local show, she decided to delve into the world of the novelist. When her fingers aren’t tapping out her latest book filled with angst and romance, Grea can be found hiking the trails or jamming to her favorite country artists on the radio.
