Let's Find Out About Matt Daniels from "Restless in LA"...
Thank you for stopping by Matt. We appreciate you taking some time to share your insights into the relationship between you and Alex. Some people probably have felt that you broke up Alex's marriage, but we are excited to hear the truth from you.
How did you and Alex Hoffman meet?
Alex and I first met when we collided on a street in London. She was a junior in college studying abroad and I was a young American filmmaker starting my career. She ran right into me and I reached out and steadied her with my hand. But when I looked into her hazel eyes, I didn’t want to let her go. She was running off to deal with some school issue and she was clearly in a rush but I did my best to keep her talking. I wanted her number. I wanted to take her out. I didn’t understand the irony that, when we first met, she was already running.
Another lifetime later, I was sitting in a boardroom in Manhattan alternating between staring out at the East River and scrolling through emails on my phone. It was a regular day. Just like any other day. I’d said goodbye to Heather, walked my boys to school, and grabbed a cab uptown for a meeting. I was sifting through emails in my inbox when I saw it, like a message in a bottle that randomly washed ashore. After twenty years of silence, Alex Hoffman wants to be friends on Facebook.
What first drew you to Alex?
I was in my mid-twenties when we met. Everyone around me was pairing off and I wasn’t interested in getting into a relationship. I was too young and too into my work. The last thing I wanted was to be tied down. Then I met Alex.
The thing with Alex was, the more time I spent with her, the more time I wanted to spend with her. I kept waiting for that feeling to wear off, but it didn’t. It got worse and worse until I wanted to be with her all the time. She was an irresistible combination of serious and smart and vulnerable and searching, too. It felt like sinking into someone. Looking back, I think it scared the hell out of me. When Alex was around, I could barely think straight. But it was even harder to think when she wasn’t around.
Then she disappeared. And that was that for twenty years. She got married, I got married, we both went on to have full lives and families. Then, out of the blue, I got a message that she wanted to be Facebook friends. I told myself to leave it alone. But I couldn’t. And when I saw her again, it was like waking up out of a fog.
What is your greatest strength? Greatest weakness? How have they shaped your life?
My greatest strength and my greatness weakness are probably the same: I’ve got to be true to myself, no matter what the cost. I could say it’s a strength, as an artist. I could claim it keeps me from drifting off course. But, the truth is, it’s fucked up a lot of things in my life. It’s caused the people I love a lot of pain. But, for better and for worse, lying to myself is not in my nature. Even when the truth hurts, it’s still the truth.
What a personal look at your life. We hope everyone will take a moment and pick up Restless in LA to read about yours and Alex's relationship.
Restless in LA
It was an innocent online flirtation. Until it wasn’t…
Alexandra Hoffman thinks she has it all together. She lives with her work-obsessed husband Jason and their three challenging children in upscale Los Angeles. She never meant to “friend” her old boyfriend, Matt Daniels. She hasn’t seen him in twenty years. But as Alex’s fortieth birthday approaches, she finds herself re-connecting with Matt online—and re-reading her college journal, which details their intense connection and unresolved ending. But Alex’s hands are full with the kids, one of whom she just can’t help, no matter how hard she tries.
Lonely and alienated by the helicopter moms, and from Jason who is never around, Alex’s flirtation quickly moves from on-line to real-world. Alex realizes—too late—that she cannot trust herself. When she meets Matt for dinner, the attraction is undeniable. And when he touches her face, it’s electric. As her life spirals out of control, she clings to her free-spirited life coach, Lark, to make sense of the mess she’s made. But Lark’s advice is clear: Alex must confront her past and find the courage to face her future, even if it means risking everything.

Alec Kaden... Mafia Don, Caring Husband or Kidnapper! You be the Judge!
It's Wonderful to Have you Stop By Alec. We appreciate your honest answers to some tough questions. We promise to keep this just between us.
Interview with Alec Kaden from Endless as the Rain by M.S. Kaye:
Where are you from? The Pacific Northwest
What is your main purpose in life? I used to think my life would consist of continuing the Kaden legacy of organized crime and then going to Hell. Now, I’m not so sure.
Who is your greatest enemy and why? Samuel Dean, the city councilman. He’s a slimy sack of shit who needs to learn that this city still belongs to the Kadens.
Do you think you can ever reconcile with this enemy? Reconciliation isn’t going to happen. His options are prison or death. I prefer death.
Do you have a love interest? I have someone to whom I’m faithful. But she doesn’t know; she’ll never know.
What is your weapon of choice? I often carry a handgun, with which I’m proficient, but I prefer to punch people in the face and watch the blood drip.
What makes you happy? I’m not sure I’ve ever felt true happiness. There is one person who helps me find calm.
Do you have a code of honor? I’m doing my damnedest to be legitimate.
What makes you angry? Anger is my constant companion.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I wish I hadn’t caused my mother’s death.
What do you think is your greatest strength? My Oxford education taught me well how to make money.
What do you think is your greatest weakness? My rage.
What do you think is your enemy's greatest strength? He’s a charming politician and also has illegitimate connections.
What do you think is your enemy's greatest weakness? He doesn’t yet know he’s made an enemy out of me.
Name one person you admire. Adriane.
Name one person you trust. Adriane.

Endless as the Rain:
For Adriane Graham, the real question comes down to this: “Am I Alec Kaden’s guest…Or his prisoner?”
If she’s a guest in the Kaden mansion, then it means Alec has freed himself from his family ties to organized crime. It means he’s telling the truth when he says he’s protecting Adriane from dangerous men and they can shake off the shackles of haunted pasts.
If Adriane Graham is Alec Kaden’s prisoner, it means his tenderness is simply a ruse to keep her under control; his kindness is just poisoned hypocrisy. It means Alec is a cruel liar, and that somehow, by some desperate way, she’s got to get out of this charming man’s well-guarded house before it’s too late.
Is she Alec’s treasured guest? Or merely a pretty bird, trapped in his gilded cage? The troubling questions pour like fountains…flowing…
Endless as the Rain.
Can Adriane handle Stein’s connection to her past and the truth of his motivations?
As Alec and Adriane investigate the reason his father’s old organized crime competitor returned to the city, Adriane eventually realizes Alec is hiding something from her. Will his continued secrecy threaten their relationship? Will the truth of Stein’s motivations rip Adriane away from Alec?
Alec Kaden is the son of organized crime. But that’s not what causes him to be cold, and anger to crawl up his spine. He trusts his father’s judgment—his mother’s death in childbirth was his fault. Only one person can calm the monster inside him, but he will not allow her to know him, to see through him and find the darkness lurking behind his detachment. Will he forever remain her invisible protector?
