Finn and Lara

Sometimes the best songs come from a songwriter who is in love with a beautiful woman. It fits with each of these couples. They have a partner who understands the life on the road and the challenges of being in front of an audience, not to mention those fans!

Finn and Lara fit in with the rest. They have a partnership built on friendship from college days. Then they reconnected and the sparks flew. But their happily ever after isn't without some bumpy roads. Check out their latest story to see for yourself.

BLURB:
Almost. It had almost been perfect. Like heaven on earth.

Until it wasn’t. Until it was all taken away. Just…like…that.

A bumpy life path had finally led Lara Faulkner to happiness. And Finn Murphy, one of country music’s rising stars, was a big part of that. But his secret and a devastating loss had put up a sudden detour sign.

Lara and Finn now struggle with trying to reconnect back to the way they used to be. With his career threatening to create a bigger distance between them, they must find the strength to tear down the emotional restraints before it’s too late.

But when happiness is once again finally within reach, will it all be shattered just like one of the tragic, sad love songs the country artist himself sings?

Fall in love with Book Two of the Country Roads series – ALMOST HEAVEN.

EXCERPT:
“No. Now? Can you come back now?” My voice broke despite trying so hard to stay brave and levelheaded.

Finn heard it immediately, and I heard his voice change just as quickly too. “Lara? What’s wrong? What’s going on?”

“I need you,” I pleaded sounding more desperate than I remember being in such a long time.

But it couldn’t be helped. I knew I couldn’t do this alone. This wasn’t about going to a party by myself. This was…this was…so much more real.

The background noise was no longer as loud. It was obvious Finn had moved to a slightly more secluded area. He knew by my tone and request that something serious was going on.

“Lara? God, Beauty, what’s wrong?”

“Please, Finn, if you can, please come home tonight.” I didn’t want him to worry, and I didn’t want him to change plans, but I knew there was no way around it—he needed to be home.

“Lara! Tell me! What’s going on?” He was practically bellowing, and I wanted to cry just knowing how panicked he was. Before I could answer, I heard him call out to someone on the Memphis end, “I need a flight out—now! I don’t care how you get it, whatever, get me a flight back to New York. Get me home, now!” And then he returned to talk to me. “Lara?”

“Thank you.” I breathed in a huge exhale knowing that he was going to be on his way home.

Once he was back, it would all be better. Finn would make it that way. I knew it.

About the Author:

There really wasn’t any other path. Grea Warner knew from a young age that she wanted to write. She was born to write. First it was in diaries with little metal keys and in written tales that she slipped to friends in study hall. School newspapers, a college television drama, and internships in the soap opera world were next. After producing and writing a local show, she decided to delve into the world of the novelist. When her fingers aren’t tapping out her latest book filled with angst and romance, Grea can be found hiking the trails or jamming to her favorite country artists on the radio.
