Did you love Game of Thrones? Strong Female Characters who know how to Kick Butt? Ava is the perfect read for you!

When her world is turned upside down Ava takes matters into her own hands.

EXCERPT:
The bay was strong and watered, which was exactly what she needed—this ride to New Moon would be a sprint. She let him stretch out in a half gallop before pulling him to a stop at the base of the raised plank road that crossed the Plain of Reeds. He stomped his hooves and snorted, ready to run as she looked back at the wall.

A voice yelled, “Ava! Wait!” She shaded her eyes.

Filomena waved from a spot about two-thirds of the way up the wall. Ronin and Ahsaz lined the top of the wall above Filomena, pointing at Ava as a gang of warriors raced down the staircase. Maybe they were coming to help. Or maybe they were coming to stop her. She wasn’t sure which, and it didn’t matter. She had bad things to do to bad people, and there was no time to waste.

She spurred the bay into a gallop. His hooves knocked on the wooden road, becoming a steady drumbeat. Hot wind blew over her face, smelling of bog and decay from the sea of cattails swaying in the wind for as far as she could see. She patted the sword on her hip. A horse, a sword, and a strong arm were all she had.

And they were all she was going to need.

BLURB:
Sixteen-year-old Ava Phoenix’s unlikely defeat of the grand praetorian’s son in a fighting contest triggers her father’s murder and an official decree to destroy her village. Together with her first love, Beau, she races across a post-apocalyptic landscape to save her village while being hunted by her dystopian world’s deadliest teenage warriors.

Heart-rending loss, romance, and an unjust world combine to create a heroine who rises above violence even as she dispenses justice. Ava the Brave shows how a warrior’s heart can be lost and rediscovered even in the most savage of lands.

Praise:
"From the first blows dealt at the champion contest, readers will be hooked on Ava's quest to avenge her father and clear the reputation of her village. This neo-medieval, dystopian genre blender will keep readers wondering what's next for Ava long after they've turned the final page." Colleen Clayton, YA author of WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

"You'll want to fight alongside Ava, cheer for her brave warriors, and join the adventure of a lifetime in this exciting debut novel." Abigail Drake, Best-Selling Author
