Tash went to move around me, probably intending to sit. Instead, the toe of his boot caught on the lip of the concrete step and he pitched forward into me. I fell back into one of the hard plastic chairs, Tash’s not unpleasant weight on top of me.
Rather than stand up immediately, he looked into my eyes. I swore I felt my breath catch as I gazed into his deep, chocolate eyes. This meant a lot because I didn’t breathe. My lips parted, a sigh escaping, as he captured my mouth with his. I would have been shocked at myself if I wasn’t enjoying the press of his lips against mine.
For a moment, it felt as if time froze. My brain screamed at me to stop, but my hands were on his chest, feeling their way around solid muscle. My body and mind were not in union.
Only when his tongue parted my lips did I snap out of my trance, pushing him back. That was a mistake. Never mind how long it had been since I’d been with a man, he was a witch and a liar.
