If Lily Drake were here, I'm sure the whole party would be not only tastefully decorated but yummy! She is, after all, not only a vampire but a mom! And we know Mom's can do anything! When a book is born, it's characters, setting, and story become a permanent part of our history. Now that The Life and Death of Lily Drake is a part of our world, we are so excited to share this fabulous story with you! It isn't every day that a girl finds love and saves the world...all in time to still be home to pick up her son after school. In order to help you celebrate along with us, we are offering a special 30% off discount on The Life and Death of Lily Drake, but only until October 19th and only if you order from our website. We know Lily would approve! Author: T.Michelle Nelson Genre: Paranormal Romance Release Date: October 5th, 2012 Length: Super Novel ISBN: (print) 978-0-9851483-8-6 ISBN: (ebook) 978-0-9851483-9-3 Print $ 12.99 Ebook $4.99 Delivered within 5-7 days For Lily Drake, slaying vampires is easy...Dating them is the hard part. Lily Drake is your everyday hard-working single mom…until a gorgeous vampire shows up on her front door who she mistakenly assumes is her blind date for the evening. As one crazy scenario after another unfolds, Lily finds herself falling in love with two vampires, slaying the evil ones, and being prophesied as the savior of the entire undead race. Deciding between pizza and Chinese take-out will no longer be one of the hard decisions facing Lily Drake once she is immersed into vampire society. Humanity or immortality? That doesn't hold a candle against this question - which of the two handsome vampire cousins? The Life and Death of Lily Drake is not your typical vampire love story. It’s a tale about the humorous mistakes a woman makes simply trying to survive not only life, but the dating scene. How will Lily manage working full-time, taking care of her young son and fighting the undead at every turn? Lily will have to figure it out, but who better to save the world than a mom? Each Wednesday we like to ask our Inkspell Authors questions that give you a sneak peek into their lives and thoughts. Everyone has a heartfelt wish...a wish they hold within their hearts. We asked our Inkspell Authors about their one wish that they would make if they wished upon a star. You may be surprised at how big their hearts are! Rebecca Hart: Being a fairy tale fanatic growing up, the idea of wishing on anything and having it come true is the cornerstone of my existence...okay, maybe not so much, but I had always told myself if I got one wish, I would be prepared to use it wisely. To that end, if I had one wish I knew would come true, I would wish for an infinite number of wishes (smart, right?). Now, assuming the genie told me that particular wish wasn't possible, I would wish for peace and prosperity for the human race. (kinda feel like a Miss Universe contestant all of a sudden :P) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Deb Peterson:As a child, I remember watching for that very first star to light the evening sky, so I could make a wish. Should you ask me, I couldn’t tell you a single thing my childish heart wished for. But right now, we’re going to pretend that someone granted me the power of a single wish—and we’re going to say it’s conditional. This wish has to be a selfish one (because asking for world peace, the end of child and spousal abuse, hunger, homelessness, disease...would have to supersede all else.) So, my one selfish wish? Time-travel... I would love to possess the ability to travel back in time and see the events of world history that have always piqued my interest. I’d spend some time in Egypt and watch the building of the pyramids and the sculpting of the sphinx. I’d go see the hanging gardens of Babylon. How about watching George Washington leading his rag-tag soldiers to victory—be an actual witness to our nation’s birth. Perhaps even listen to Abraham Lincoln give the Gettysburg Address. Oh and how I’d love to see the South American ruins in their heyday. (What did those Mayans really intend when they made that calendar?) My list is endless... Yep... I think I’d wish for time-travel... Sasha Summers: This is a tough one. My first thought: End World Hunger and/or World Peace. I think we all want that! But the ‘my mom’ side takes over and I’d also want to make a wish for my kids - to find real, nurturing, and sustaining love. Life has so many ups and downs, but it’s never too much to bear if you have someone holding your hand. And when I say love, I mean someone beyond me and their father – they know we’ve got their back J I’d wish for just the right person: someone they laugh with, cry with, learn from, listen to… Someone they can build memories with, have a family with (if they want), and grow old together. I’m a little old fashioned, I guess, but I really do believe that love makes everything better. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jill Kaelin: One wish…that’s pretty difficult to narrow down. Many thoughts came to my mind like faster metabolism, longevity of life, and mad cooking skills. But at the risk of sounding pageant-like, if there was only one thing I could wish for because I knew it would come true, it would have to be for a cure for cancer. Too many people’s lives are cut short by this silent killer. Although it would be fun to cook like the pros, I’d probably still end up burning the toast. Best to put this wish to good use. Mark Jay Harris:I know they say 'money can't buy happiness,' but the problem with this homily is that they assume most people are after happiness. What if you just want stuff? So, having said that, I'm going to go with money. And it doesn't have to be a million dollars or more, I'd be content with my brother-in-law's idea of a pair of pants that whenever you reach in the pocket you always find exactly the amount of money you need. If I can't get that wishing on a star then, I'd be happy to wish for world peace. :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stephanie Lawton:I wish I could visit my author friends at a moment's notice. I've been fortunate to make friends on nearly every continent, and it kills me that I can't hang out with them in real life. One of these days, I'm going to make it come true! Now that you have heard about our wishes, what are yours? Do you wish for something for the world or more personal? What would you wish for if you knew that you could get one wish granted on the stars?
When you are a vampire, Halloween is a sucky time of year... To be honest... when you are a vampire, every day is a sucky for a different reason! It's how you get to eat! hahaha... Today kicks off the big Blog Hop in my honor and I've given everyone their directions for posts and can't wait to read all about their favorite vampires and other fun stuff.
